Abhishek Sharma, a young all-rounder from India, had a great time at bat in the second Twenty20 International match in Harare against Zimbabwe.
He was under pressure after faltering in the opening match, particularly because Yashasvi Jaiswal was scheduled to join the team before the third Twenty20 International. But Abhishek handled the pressure well, and he gave Zimbabwe some difficulties with his attacking style of cricket.
After the game’s second over, skipper Shubman Gill left, and Abhishek needed some time to calm down before dealing primarily in boundaries. In Harare, the cricketer from Punjab scored his first international century while smashing seven boundaries and eight sixes.
Abhishek Sharma disclosed during the match that he scored the second T20I century using Gill’s bat. The two are closely friends, with Yuvraj Singh, a former cricket player, serving as their tutor. Because they had played a lot of domestic cricket together, Abhishek asked for Gill’s bat without hesitation. The 23-year-old further disclosed that he often asks for Gill’s bat when he wants to score runs.
“Today, as well as earlier, I used Shubman’s (Gill) bat for play. After the game, Abhishek Sharma remarked, “Whenever I need runs, I ask for his bat.”
