After Mumbai’s victory parade, Virat Kohli visits relatives in London

The Indian squad’s rigorous travel schedule after their victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup. On July 4, they arrived in Delhi and left for Mumbai the same day, meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They participated in the closing ceremony and triumph parade at Wankhede Stadium, which went into the early hours of the morning. Following the event, Virat Kohli boarded a late-night trip to London to spend time with his family.

After the parade, Virat Kohli reportedly raced to the airport to fly to meet Anushka Sharma and their children, who are apparently in London. It is noteworthy that Anushka attended the Indian team’s USA tournament leg in the arena. She later travelled to the UK with her children, Vaamika and Akaay, after choosing not to join the squad in the West Indies. To put things in perspective, Virat took sixteen hours to get to Delhi, then took a plane to Mumbai, spent a restless day till midnight, and then took a flight to London—all in one day.

Prior to the final, the top Indian batsman had only scored 75 runs in seven games, indicating that he was having a difficult competition. But when India most needed it, he rose to the situation, hitting 76 off 59 balls to win Man of the Match in the championship match against South Africa. He was apparently witnessed video-calling his family from the ground after the game. Virat has made no secret of how much Anushka means to him.
