When the Rajasthan Royals captain, Mr. Sanju Samson, violated the IPL Code of Conduct during Match 56 of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 against the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on May 7, 2024, he was fined thirty percent of his match costs.
In accordance with IPL Code of Conduct Article 2.8, Samson committed a Level 1 infraction. He took the match referee’s punishment after acknowledging his wrongdoing. The Match Referee’s ruling is definitive and enforceable for Level 1 violations of the Code of Conduct.
Rajasthan and Delhi faced off in the 56th match of the IPL 2024, and Rajasthan lost by a score of 20 runs. Sanju Samson and the rest of the team bore the brunt of the Royals’ 221-run chase, as their top order was unable to muster any resistance. Sanju gave it his all as he attempted to chase a large target, scoring 86 off 46, but he was controversially dismissed. After the captain was substituted, RR lost the Delhi match and went downhill.
We could have scored 11–12 runs an over, so I believe we had it within reach, but these things happen in the IPL. Yes, we are doing both well. We would want to follow the conditions; therefore, we will not go above 220. We had a chance to win if we had given up a few fewer borders.

We performed admirably even though the DC opener, Fraser McGurk, performed as he has throughout the competition. While we have dropped three games, they have all been extremely close games in which we have played exceptionally well. We need to keep up the momentum and make some adjustments in order to pull off a comeback.
“Well and no. In fact, you have to give credit to someone like Stubbs, who played well against Sandeep, who has been bowling extremely well in the last ten or eleven games. He scored an extra two or three sixes against my two best bowlers, Sandeep Sharma and Yuzi Chahal. “We have to keep going, find out where we lost the game, and accept that we have lost,” Samson remarked following the conclusion of play.
