Mumbai Indians saw a Suryakumar Yadav performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Wankhede Stadium. The explosive batsman battled his injuries, but he persisted in going all out to help the Mumbai Indians win. Suryakumar played well and kept his cool against a squad that was controlling everyone with the ball, helping Mumbai win the match by seven wickets.
Surencers Hyderabad had some difficulty batting first. Travis Head has two distinct instances of survival. Anshul Kombaj rocked the stumps in his debut, but it was a no-ball, and then he dropped a sitter. Abhishek Sharma, meanwhile, was unable to cause any harm. Despite the lack of assistance from his teammates, Head persisted, scoring 48 runs off of 30 deliveries. Captain Pat Cummins hit 35 runs off 17 deliveries towards the end of the first over, helping them score 173 runs.
Mumbai had a great start to the chase, but the majority of their runs came from extras. They lost three wickets quickly and found themselves in a precarious position. Suryakumar came up with a stunning century right when it seemed like Mumbai was slowly heading towards another loss. Tilak Varma’s strong middle-class support made Mumbai’s pursuit simpler.
1. Mumbai ka Raja, Suryakumar Yadav
Against Hyderabad, Suryakumar genuinely performed like a king. With 16 balls left, Mumbai won the match thanks to him smashing the bowlers all over the park and scoring 102 runs off 51 balls. Not only is his return to form a huge bonus for Mumbai but also for the national squad. Despite getting hurt during the chase, he continued to attack and ultimately helped Mumbai win.

2. Chawla remains a genius
Though Piyush Chawla deserves a lot of credit for his amazing performance against Hyderabad, Jasprit Bumrah is always mentioned when discussing Mumbai’s bowling attack. After taking three vital wickets of Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen, and Abdul Samad, the experienced spinner snapped the backbone of the SRH. He was essential to MI’s decisive win over SRH.
3. What did SRH do incorrectly?
SRH have had trouble at the plate until their openers can get them off to a strong start. The management must take quick action in that particular area. They should be looking forward to replacing Marco Jansen with Glenn Phillips, as Klaasen’s lack of form is not helping them. They can use Phillips to supply a few overs and play Umran Malik with the ball.

Probably a couple short, at the Wankhede you want as many as you can get. You always feel like you’re in, the wicket had a little bit in it so we were definitely in the game. I think Sanvir helped us get to that 170 instead of 150, ideally we’d have a bowler. It’s T20 cricket, and it doesn’t always work out. SKY played really well. We like playing at home, we’ll wait and see what’s ahead of us. Hopefully a few more fireworks.

We want to focus on playing good cricket, still think we gave 10-15 runs extra. The way the batters batter, that was excellent. My bowling, I like to bowl in the right areas, I bowl according to the situation. Bowled in the right areas today and it worked. I was like Chawla had to bowl from the shorter side. You got to be accurate, the margin of errors have become smaller these days for the bowlers.
It’s unbelievable, the best past of SKY is that he puts the bowlers under pressure. It’s sheer confidence, his game has changed, is one of the best batters. He can change a game in a different way, lucky to have him (SKY) in our side.

I have done this after a long time. I fielded for 20 overs and batted for 18 overs, only tired (nothing else to worry about.) I feel it was the need of the hour for me. I went out to bat, needed someone to bat till the end. I just enjoyed my time. It’s from the Mumbai school of arts, have played a lot of cricket at Wankhede. When the ball stopped seaming, I played all my shots that I practice in the nets. I feel the intent would have been the same, I would have definitely played in the same pattern.
