In the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) sixth encounter, Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru squared off. RCB decided to field first after winning the toss. It was Mohammed Siraj who fired Jonny Bairstow. Prabhsimran Singh and Shikhar Dhawan forged a partnership together. Afterwards, Sam Curran and Jitesh Sharma repeated the collaboration to further the goals of their team. Thanks to Shashank Singh’s tremendous labour towards the end, PBKS managed to score 176 runs despite losing six wickets.
As a result of the early departures of two of its best players, Cameron Green and Faf du Plessis, RCB suffered early on. Only three runs were scored by their middle-order virtuoso, Glenn Maxwell. Together, Rajat Patidar and Virat Kohli, who gave the RCB new life with 77 runs, rebuilt the innings. Anuj Rawat, the discovery of the RCB talent quest, was fired soon after. But with four wickets left, Dinesh Karthik and Mahipal Lomror led RCB to a convincing victory. The PBKS lost the game despite Harpreet’s outstanding performance.
Here are a few moments from the sixth IPL 2024 match between RCB and PBKS:

1. After dropping Virat Kohli, Jonny Bairstow shows off his buttery fingertips.
It is clear that this season has not been kind to Jonny Bairstow’s batting form. Sadly, it didn’t get any better as he gave Virat Kohli the first slip on the second ball of the inning. Right through his palms, the ball went to a short third for a four-point play. But Sam Curran’s accurate bowling and that of the Punjab squad were too much for Kohli to overcome. He really didn’t take long to hit four straight boundaries, making the PBKS pay for their error.

2. Kohli scores T20 cricket’s 100th fifty or more.
Virat Kohli achieved a significant milestone by scoring his 100th fifty-plus score in T20 cricket, despite all the predictions that he would be dropped before the T20 World Cup 2024. Kohli continued to tomahawk and achieved his half-century, his 51st in the IPL, in just 31 balls, despite being dropped by Bairstow early in his innings. In T20 cricket, he has been unrivalled, with eight hundred and 92 fifties overall. In international matches, he has scored 37 fifties and one century out of them.

3. Impact Sub Mahipal Lomror excels in the nerve-wracking scene
Lomror struck a boundary to start off when he came to bat after Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli were just out. With a six and a four in the eighteenth over, he then sent Arshdeep Singh to the cleaners. He did a good job supporting Dinesh Karthik as RCB attempts to win the IPL 2024 for the first time, needing more than 11 runs per over.
Time to cheer!! RCB RCB RCB!!🥳

Veiii adha. DK 28*(10). Top quality finish. Love seeing RCB win at home just to witness the incredible atmosphere at the Chinnaswamy. RCB off the mark. Good news is even with Faf, Green, Maxwell failing they won at home.
