Thanks to an outstanding century against the Netherlands in Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Shreyas Iyer is once again the talk of the community. He is now the third-highest run scorer for India in the 2017 ODI World Cup, thanks to his incredible form. Iyer is a particularly dangerous player in one-day international cricket (ODI) since he can rotate strikes brilliantly in addition to occasionally clearing the boundary.
The Mumbai-born batsman, according to former India international Aakash Chopra, doesn’t slow down at all and has a deep understanding of the fundamentals of one-day international cricket. Iyer will benefit from Chopra’s further observation that he bats wisely and is not reckless during the 2023 ODI World Cup.
“Shreyas Iyer scored a century. He doesn’t slow down at all, which makes him an excellent batsman.
He continues to hit, but he does so in a calculated and sensible manner. smashes singles in the air after taking them against the spin. The player at No. 4 or No. 6 should not be afraid to hit the ball far into the air. While some consider it dangerous, hitters with these kinds of stats should view it as a chance to score. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the DNA of ODI cricket,” Chopra stated on his YouTube channel.
Thanking KL Rahul for his century, Aakash Chopra
KL Rahul finally crossed the finish line against Netherlands, becoming the fastest Indian batsman in World Cup history to do so after missing out on a century against Australia earlier in the competition. Rahul hit the 100-run milestone in just 62 deliveries. Chopra expressed his opinions about the significance of milestones and praised him for his achievement.
“He completed 62 balls for 100 runs.” First of all, I would like to congratulate him since, while he missed one in the first match, it happened here. While our game and our nation are both somewhat fixated on milestones, I am not at all,” Chopra remarked.
