Tanzid Hasan gets his first call-up to the Bangladesh Asia Cup team.

The cricketer has been selected for the Asia Cup since he was one of the team’s most reliable batters. There are high expectations for the cricketer because he was so impressive in the previous Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) season.

On the other side, the squad has recalled Shamim Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, and Nasum Ahmed. Both Rony Talukdar, who shone in the last BPL season, and Taijul Islam, who has only appeared in four games in the past four months, are out.

Mahmudllah, a seasoned batter, was again overlooked for the team. He last played for the Bangla Tigers in March 2023, and since then he has been ineligible.
