“During the finals of the Indian Premier League and the World Test Championship in England, Rohit Sharma appeared a tad worn out.
The selectors desire for him to receive some rest during the West Indies voyage. He will presumably miss the Tests and the eight-match white-ball series that follows (three ODIs and five T20Is). The selectors will consult with Rohit before making a decision, a source told TOI.
Notably, Rohit Sharma appeared out of form with the bat, accumulating scores of 15 and 43 against the Australians. Rohit had a disappointing season in the Indian Premier League, scoring 332 runs in 16 appearances at a poor average of 20.75.
