In the 16th season of the Indian Premier League, the young starter for the Rajasthan Royals, Yashasvi Jaiswal, has played some great cricket. The 21-year-old has made 625 runs in 14 games, with an average of 48.08 and a strike rate of 163.61. This puts him in fourth place in the race for the IPL Orange Cap. Now, even though the bowler didn’t help his team make the playoffs, he was praised by many former cricketers, including AB de Villiers, who chose Jaiswal as his favorite player of the IPL 2023.
Not only did Yashasvi Jaiswal score runs regularly, but he also played an intense style of cricket that works well for the shortest version of the game. The player scored the fastest half-century in IPL history against the Kolkata Knight Riders, so his aggressiveness with the bat was highly praised. In the same conversation, de Villiers said that the cricketer from UP has all the shots he needs and is very cool and collected, which helps him do well.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, and by a wide margin,” I said. He is a young player who knows all of the moves. He is cool and in control at the wicket, and I love what he does, which is to dominate the bowlers and always look in charge,” de Villiers told Jio Cinema.
“Shubman is a little bit older, and I think Yashasvi Jaiswal has a long way to go, but he has everything he needs to be a great,” he said.
The Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, ended fifth in the IPL points table because they only won three of their last nine games. Their hitting was sometimes shaky, and Jos Buttler didn’t have much of an effect in most of the games. Other than Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer, none of the other middle-order batters did much to help the team, so the team will hope to do better next year.
