The first season of the Global Super League is scheduled to begin on November 26 and run through December 7, providing fans with a brand-new, thrilling competition. In the main event, five teams from five different nations will compete for a $1 million prize pool.
Noteworthy is the fact that the GSL 2024 will be the first independent cricket competition from South America. In addition, the Cricket West Indies (CWI) has approved the tournament.
In advance of the competition’s first season, the Guyana Amazon Warriors, one of the tournament’s participants, revealed their 13-man roster.
The first season of the GSL 2024 will consist of an 11-match mini league, with four games played by each team. The top two teams advance to the tournament’s summit showdown. The Guyana National Stadium in Providence will host all of the competition’s games, and each season will include a different set of clubs.
In 2024, the Guyana Amazon Warriors made their final appearance in the Caribbean Premier League. The team lost the CPL 2024 summit match and the final to St. Lucia Kings, meaning they were unable to advance further in the league. Throughout the season, the Warriors were in outstanding form, winning seven of their ten games. The team hopes to have a strong showing in the GSL 2024 after finishing #1 in the standings.

The Warriors, who have players like Shai Hope, Moeen Ali, Imran Tahir, and many more in their roster, may show to be serious title challengers if they can maximize their home advantage.
