On February 19, 2025, the Champions Trophy 2025 will begin in Pakistan, and a delegation from the International Cricket Council is expected to visit Lahore to assess the preparations there. This will be Pakistan’s first ICC tournament, for those who are unaware, following the 1996 World Cup, which they co-hosted with India and Sri Lanka.
From November 10 to 12, the delegation will be in town. On November 11, there is anticipated to be an event that will likely include notable individuals, such as cricket players. Additionally, sources have verified that the tournament’s schedule has been distributed to the member nations’ various boards, according to The Express Tribune.
As the three venues chosen to host the major event, the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the National Stadium in Karachi, and the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, the visit’s primary goal is to investigate the logistical arrangements and the status of the renovations at these locations. The improvement of the previously stated locations was already authorised by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand are among the teams in Group A, which includes hosts Pakistan, according to the suggested schedule. Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan make up Group B. It is also said that before confirming their involvement in matches to be hosted in Pakistan,
