The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) is reportedly planning to interview Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir on the team’s recent home performance against New Zealand. It’s important to remember that Rohit Sharma‘s team recently lost three Test matches at Bengaluru, Pune, and Mumbai after being thoroughly humiliated by the visitors in their own stadium.
Gambhir has gained attention as a result of the same. It’s interesting to note that after Gambhir took over, the BCCI complied with all of his requests, and the board hired all of the support staff he desired, including Ryan ten Doeschate, Morne Morkel, and Abhishek Nayar. India’s request to produce a turner for the Mumbai Test following their defeats in Bengaluru and Pune is being questioned among other things.
A few board members were taken aback by the decision to return to rank turners. The Times of India was informed by an insider that Gautam Gambhir’s new support staff would be questioned about their plans for the team’s future.
“To date, the BCCI has complied with all of Gambhir’s demands. Despite BCCI’s goal of promoting coaches they have developed through NCA’s program, he has been assigned a support staff of his choosing. Additionally, he is permitted to attend the selection meeting for the Australia tour team. He went on to say that the board might need to review its choices and request a roadmap from Gambhir.
According to reports, Gautam Gambhir, chief selector Ajit Agarkar, and India captain Rohit Sharma will also be present at the review meeting. The Indian team’s performance will be closely watched as
