The Indian Premier League’s (IPL) 2025 mega auction is scheduled to take place in Jeddah in late November 2024. Many celebrities will be taking part in the auction, but in a significant move, it was just revealed that former England pacer James Anderson has also signed up for the IPL auction.
After an absence of ten long years, Anderson will play in a T20 match for the first time since 2014. Additionally, despite never having participated in
The IPL, James Anderson has registered for INR 1.25 crore ahead of the prestigious auction.
Currently serving as the bowling coach for the England national team, it is noteworthy that James Anderson has participated in 19 Twenty20 International matches during his career. During those 19 games, the former pacer claimed 18 wickets while maintaining an economy rate of 7.84 runs. Whether or whether Anderson receives any offers at the auction will be interesting to watch.
The highest base price is registered by KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant.
A number of other celebrities will be participating in the IPL 2024 big auction in addition to Anderon. The fact that Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and numerous more celebrities were let go by their respective franchises was unexpected. Delhi Capitals fired Pant, whereas Kolkata Knight Riders fired Shreyas Iyer, who led the team to their third IPL championship in 2024.
The stars were listed at the highest base price of INR 2 crore prior to the massive auction. For a base payment of INR 2 crore, Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin have also registered.
