India’s women’s performance versus Pakistan’s ladies in the present Women’s T20 World Cup was outstanding. In their opening match of the season, the Women in Blue were defeated by New Zealand, not exactly the finest start to their campaign. But in the next match, the team made an amazing comeback to overcome bitter rivals Pakistan.
India restricted Pakistan to 105 runs, and the Women in Blue won the match by six wickets after chasing down the target in 18.5 overs. Munish Bali, the coach of India’s women’s cricket team, praised the players’ efforts after the match.
However, Richa Ghosh’s superb glovework behind the stumps earned her the traditional “Fielder of the Match” medal from Bali.
Richa Ghosh had outstanding pick-and-stricken play, with one outstanding catch. Fantastic work,” Bali exclaimed.
Richa received the medal when the players got on the team bus, and she also expressed her opinions on it. “After the events of the previous game, I had a conversation with Sir (Munish Bali). We spent a lot of time practicing high catches. Sir advised me to move on from the missed catch and start over. For me, I believe it really worked,” Richa remarked.
