Richard “The Hammerman” Madley, a well-known auctioneer, will be returning to SA20 for the Season 3 player auction on October 1 in Cape Town.
As teams try to confirm their squads ahead of South Africa’s premier T20 cricket competition, which begins on January 9, 2025, Madley’s expertise and distinctive approach will once again take front stage.
After ten years of leading the storied Indian Premier League (IPL) Player Auctions, Madley is thrilled to be back for his thirteenth player auction.

It’s nice to be back in control of proceedings and to use my gavel on some high-stakes bids. I have happy recollections of the epic 10-hour auction we had in the first season. As the teams select their squads, I anticipate some intense bidding among the excellent local and foreign stars whose names are up for auction.
The auction registration period ended last Friday, and since then, both domestic and foreign players have shown a great deal of interest. The final roster of players up for grabs will be revealed on September 25. Together with Ben Stokes, Devon Conway, Joe Root, Marcus Stoinis, Jonny Bairstow, and Kane Williamson, these players will be part of the incredible group of international superstars who have committed to playing in Incredible for the first time.
