India and Bangladesh are deep into the ongoing multi-format series’ first Test. On September 19, after India lost the toss and had to bat first in the opening Test of the series at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, a moment from the opening session drew the attention of the spectators.
When Rishabh Pant walked out to bat after India had lost their opening three wickets, he was furious because one of Bangladesh’s fielders had hit him by mistake with the ball
It’s important to remember that players like Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Rohit Sharma were unable to contribute during the match’s opening innings. Pant walked out to bat and the hosts were reduced to 34/3. When the event occurred, Pant was batting with a 14-run lead in the 16th over of the first innings. Pant was overthrown at this very moment, and he then got into a fight with Litton Das.
Pant responded to Das, reflecting on the occasion, “Usko bhi to dekho, merko kyu mar raha hai? (See your player too; what’s the deal with him hitting me?) On social media, the viral video is spreading widely.

It is noteworthy that, in spite of such a rocky beginning, India’s innings steadied after Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal displayed fortitude. At the conclusion of the first session, both batsmen contributed to India’s 88-run total with the loss of three wickets.

After three early knocks to Bangladesh at the beginning of the day, Pant and Jaiswal established a strong 54-run combination before lunch, preventing them from giving up another run. Pant was finally sent back to the pavilion after lunch, having scored 39 runs in 52 deliveries, while Jaiswal was accompanied by KL Rahul.
