Star Indian batsman and wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan recently observed a very spiritual birthday celebration by going to the Shree Samadhi Mandir in Shirdi, Maharashtra. Kishan posted images of himself asking Sai Baba’s blessing on social media.
Ishan Kishan’s year has been quite the ride. Kishan maintains his status as one of the top batters in T20I cricket despite his inconsistent appearances for the Indian side. He is the record holder for the fastest double tonne in ODI cricket and has contributed numerous memorable runs while wearing the Indian jersey.
But lately, Kishan and Shreyas Iyer were kicked off of the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) central contracts for missing Ranji Trophy matches even though they weren’t picked for the Indian team. Kishan was chastised for his lack of knowledge about first-class cricket. In addition, he requested a vacation from the BCCI due to mental exhaustion, and he hasn’t appeared since.

In November, during a five-game Twenty20 International series against Australia, the 26-year-old made his final outing for India, scoring fifty runs. In addition, Kishan declined to represent Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy, prompting Rahul Dravid to clarify that Kishan needed to play domestic cricket in order to represent India.
He scored 320 runs in 14 matches at an average of 22.86 and a strike rate of 148.84, although his IPL season took a toll as well. When Ishan Kishan plays for the Mumbai Indians and India, he will be hoping for atonement.
