In their first innings, Rajasthan scored 214 runs due to the heroics of Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad responded in the same manner. The top order and Glenn Phillips’ late blitzkrieg helped propel Hyderabad to their fourth victory of the season.
Yuzvendra Chahal, 32, was the leading wicket-taker for Rajasthan during the run chase, taking four wickets and allowing 29 runs in four overs. His superb spell made him tied with former Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Dwayne Bravo for the most wickets in IPL history.
Chahal topped the list of highest wicket-takers in the IPL with 183 scalps in 142 games, earning him the number one position. In addition to Bravo, Ravichandran Ashwin, Piyush Chawla, and Amit Mishra are also ranked among the top five.
Chahal is currently in fifth position in the race for the IPL purple cap with 17 wickets in 11 matches. Chahal, who won the award for most wickets taken in 2022, would like to continue his sensational performances in the current season.
