Mickey Arthur, who is in charge of Pakistan’s team, talked about how things are now and revealed something interesting before the ODI World Cup 2023. The previous head coach of Pakistan said that the team could win the coveted title in India in October if they kept the same players and kept their talent.
Mickey Arthur also talked in depth about how they were getting ready for the ODI’s main event. But the team head said that the Pakistan team’s talent could help them win the World Cup and that he is excited to see how they improve.
“I’m sure that with the ability we have, this team can win the World Cup. I mean it. I think Pakistan has a lot of great skills, and I can’t wait to see how far they can go. “But I’m also really excited to be able to help those players grow,” Arthur told The News International in an interview.
We have put together a whole plan: Micky Arthur
The team director went on to talk about how they were getting ready for the mega ODI event. He said that the team would work on improving certain things. Arthur also said that, since the Asia Cup 2023 is unclear, the management put together a schedule of camps as a backup plan.
“We have made a whole schedule of camps, and we’ve figured out what we think we need to work on, like our ability to play spin and our ability to hit sweepers in the middle overs,” Arthur said.
Arthur also said that he was looking for possible players who could play the role of “finisher” and have a lot of bowling ability. For this, he has already made a plan to set up camps during the off-season, which is going on right now. South African also wants to add more players to the Pakistan team’s bench.
“We’re also looking at our finishers, guys who can come in and finish and really hit the ball out of the ground. We’ll also keep working on our bench power. When it comes to our bowlers, we have a lot of great ones. So, we’ll have camps even during this kind of downtime,” he said as a conclusion.
