Shoaib Malik said, amid rumors of a divorce with the former tennis player, “I miss Sania Mirza a lot.”

Online rumors of a divorce between former Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik have been circulating since 2022. The cricketer is rumored to be dating Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar, which is the reason for the same. Malik has now spoken out about the speculations surrounding his personal life, though.

The former captain of Pakistan’s cricket team admitted that he wanted to spend Eid with Sania but was unable to do so because of her work obligations. The renowned tennis player, he continued, was preoccupied with the current Indian Premier League (IPL), where she is performing shows. All he wanted to say, he said, is that he misses her too much.

Shoaib Malik was asked, “Khabre chal rahi hai, taluqat acche nahi hai (rumors are circulating that all is not well in your relationship with Sania)” during a chat with the Pakistani television channel Geo television program. How would you like to respond?

“Nothing on it (relationship rumors),” he retorted. I’d like to express that it would have been wonderful if we had been together on Eid. However, she is committed to the IPL. She performs in IPL shows. We aren’t together because of this. We continue to share affection. I can honestly tell that I miss her a lot. There are obligations (in the workplace. However, Eid is a day when you miss your loved ones dearly. Because of this, neither she nor I issued a statement.

Ayesha Omar, however, has previously replied to rumors about Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik’s divorce. She said that she would never find a married or committed man attractive when questioned about her alleged relationship with the sportsman. Notably, Ayesha’s name has been connected to Malik ever since they shared a photo session together in 2021.
