Franchise Twenty20 tournaments are sweeping the world, so Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is getting ready to hold the fourth Lanka Premier League (LPL). The fourth season of the event will take place from July 30 to August 20. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced that the tournament will hold its first-ever auction.
The first LPL player sale will take place on June 14 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo. SLC also said that each club will bring in US$ 500,000, which means that all five teams will bring in a total of US$ 2.5 million.
