Mahendra Singh Dhoni is frequently regarded as the most successful commander of Indian cricket in history. He is the only captain to have won all three ICC white-ball competitions: the T20 World Cup, Champions Trophy, and ODI World Cup. In addition, he has lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to four Indian Premier League (IPL) championships.
Therefore, this remarkable achievement makes any cricket expert question his legendary tenure as captain. In a similar vein, Australian cricket legend Matthew Hayden recently praised the CSK captain’s leadership skills and referred to him as “magic.” According to Hayden, Dhoni transforms the garbage of others into treasure, and he is a skilled and optimistic captain.
Notably, Dhoni-led CSK have secured their place in the IPL 2023 final, which will be held on May 28 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, by defeating the defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) in Qualifier 1. In addition, the legendary Australian praised his commitment to cricket.
He is a highly skilled and optimistic captain: Hayden
Matthew Hayden emphasized MS Dhoni’s close relationship with the Chennai Super Kings franchise. The 51-year-old went on to say that there is a systematic way of working through problems, which Dhoni did for India and is currently doing for CSK. He believes however that the legendary wicketkeeper will not be available for the upcoming IPL.
“MS is a wizard. He turns someone else’s garbage into a treasure. He is a highly skilled and optimistic captain. Hayden was quoted by News 18 as saying, “He said something that I thought summed up not only his humility but also the truth about cricket in Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, where he is represented.”
“The strength of the alignment between this association and the franchise in terms of establishing this procedure. That, to me, is MS. There is a systematic method for working through and going through problems. He has done this for both India and Chennai Super Kings. Whether or not he plays next season is nearly irrelevant. Hayden concluded, “Personally, I don’t think he will, but he is MS Dhoni.”
