On Sunday, April 23, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, the 32nd game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 saw an exciting match between the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore and the defending champion Rajasthan Royals. Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj was observed verbally insulting Mahipal Lomror in the 19th over of Rajasthan’s innings. When Dhruv Jurel attempted a second run on the final delivery of the over as Rajasthan got closer to the mark, Siraj yelled at Lomror for fielding the ball in the long on area.
The 29-year-old pacer apologized to Lomror for the altercation after the game after Mohammed Siraj verbally and physically insulted the southpaw on the field. Siraj said that he had already apologized to Lomror for the incident in a match review video that was uploaded on RCB’s official YouTube channel.
“Man, I’m so furious. Sorry. I’ve already apologized twice to him. I leave the aggressiveness on the field. After the game, everything settles down, according to Siraj in the video. Lomror also acknowledged the apologies, stating, “It’s okay, Siraj bhai. Such trivial things continue to occur in such important games.
