On Monday, Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans are scheduled to wear a lavender uniform in support of the fight against cancer. On Monday, May 15, they will face Aiden Markram and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The defending champions shared the heartfelt update on their official social media account in support of the cause. In order to raise cancer awareness, the Titans’ players will wear lavender uniforms instead of their usual dark blue uniforms.
“We are prepared to wear lavender on Monday for a special cause. Gujarat Titans is concerned about the health and wellbeing of all! Join us in our efforts to raise cancer awareness,” the franchise captioned their Instagram post.

The defending champions are seeking a spot in Qualifier 1.
On May 12, Hardik Pandya and the rest of the team lost to the five-time champion Mumbai Indians in their most recent match. Despite spin sensation Rashid Khan’s four-wicket haul in the first innings, Mumbai amassed a monstrous 218 runs thanks to Surya Kumar Yadav’s (103* off 49 deliveries) blitzkrieg.
Six home runs, eleven fours, and a strike rate of 210.20 indicate that the flamboyant batter smashed runs all around the field. Rashid Khan retaliated with a belligerent unbeaten knock of 79 off 32 balls that included 10 sixes and three fours at a staggering strike rate of 246.87.
Despite the lethal striking, Mumbai won the two points and moved into third place in the IPL Points Table with 14 points after 12 matches. Meanwhile, Gujarat, who were lying comfortably atop the standings just a few matches ago, now face stiff competition from CSK and MI. However, with two group matches remaining, the defending champions will be looking to secure favorable results and a position in Qualifier 1.
